Korean and Black culture is way more compatible than people realize. Japan and China are dope too but Ktown has a different connection with black folks.

There was a place in SF in the Lower Haight, back in the late 90s, early 2000s. Korean place that also served soul food fusion dishes. I remember the lovely older couple that owned it, and Chef Rene, a charming big black man who was the chef. They had a plate called “meat mountain” that was just ridiculous. Sadly I don’t recall the name of the restaurant. So many happy dinners there.
